Instructions: In a simple pendulum, we consider a particle attached to a rigid, lightweight rod. For a spring pendulum, on the other hand, we replace the rod with a spring (which we assume doesn’t bend as the particle moves). Drag the sliders to set the initial angle and length of the spring. Then press start to watch the animation. Press reset to stop the animation and pick new initial conditions.
