Instructions: Drag the sliders to set the initial angle $\theta_0$ and angular velocity $\omega_0$ of the pendulum. Then press start to watch the animation. The graphs show the angle and angular velocity as functions of time. Press reset to stop the animation and pick new initial conditions. 

Notice that when you give the pendulum enough energy to climb to high angles, the motion no longer looks sinusoidal!
